Yes. You can cancel by calling our support number, or online at constellationmembership.com/cancel. When you cancel your enrollment in the Membership Plan you will be returned to the utility supply.
Enrollment in the Constellation Membership Plan means that if at any time you want to enroll with a third party supplier other than Constellation, you will need to terminate your Plan membership and will no longer receive the Plan services. If you choose to enroll with a third party supplier, other than Constellation, without terminating this Membership Plan, you understand and agree that Constellation will not be liable for any early termination fees that result if you get switched from that supplier under the terms of the Plan.
Constellation’s Smart Switch conducts ongoing evaluation of the utility price against Constellation for opportunities to switch you to the lowest supply rate.
Your energy supply bill will come from the utility.
If you are enrolled in your utility's Budget Billing program, you will continue to see the same monthly bill amount billed by your utility until your monthly budget amount is adjusted to reflect your change in supplier. These charges are separate from Constellation's energy supply charges. Until your utility adjusts your monthly Budget Billing amount, your total monthly bill may appear higher while Constellation is your supplier.
Your monthly bill payment is based on your usage during the last 12 months. Your actual usage will continue to be shown on your monthly bill, but you will be charged a calculated amount based on your average usage. Please note, your utility will bill you at their own calculated amount, separate from the Constellation Budget Billing amount, so be sure to call your utility to adjust their bill amount once you sign up for Smart Switch.
Yes, you can still enroll in Smart Switch with Constellation while enrolled in Budget Billing with your utility.
No, you will not be automatically enrolled in Budget Billing. You must select the Budget Billing option when singing up for Smart Switch to be enrolled in Budget Billing with Constellation.
If you don’t make any changes with your utility regarding your Budget Billing amount, you may continue to be charged the same amount by your utility even though your energy will be supplied by Constellation. This means you may see a higher bill than expected for 1-2 cycles because your utility charges have not been adjusted. If this happens, you should receive any overages in payment back from your utility once your monthly bill amount gets recalculated to reflect the change in supplier.
Constellation’s Budget Billing is reconciled at the end of a calendar year, or when your supply is switched away from us, to calculate actual charges against the amount you’ve paid through your monthly Budget Billing amount. Any credits or outstanding balances will be sent to the utility and appear on your next available invoice.
